Pelvic Floor Health
Private trainings can be arranged
this 6 week course is geared towards educating women in finding control over their pelvic floor muscles.
General population are probably lacking in tone but in the exercise world and people I deal with, there are a huge amount of women that are too tight. You can also be lacking tone in one area and not in another so we can be
Lacking tone
Too tight
Too tight in one part and too loose in another
A healthy muscle is a muscle that has full range of motion, its not too tight or too loose. A tight muscle is a muscle in a contracted state and is as weak as a slack muscle, neither can move well.. Same problem but on different ends of the spectrum.
TOO TIGHT!!!
Sitting can be painful
Sex can be painful
Pelvic health checks (smears) can be painful
Suffer from stress incontinence *
Suffer from urge incontinence**
Constipation
IBS - very big association with both tight pelvic floor and abdominal muscles
*Stress incontinence - can be associated with too tight or too slack - this is when a stressor like coughing or sneezing can cause leakage or urine
** urge incontinence is when you think you have the smallest bladder in the world and think you need to pee all the time but when you go, theres hardly anything.. This also has a behavioural component to it
LOW TONE!!!!
Stress incontinence
Prolapsed organs (bladder, uterus, rectum)
Vaginal flatulence
Strength & Mobility for Karate Athletes
Private trainings can be arranged
After starting karate late in life, I quickly learned that this movement practice had a missing piece, hence why I have developed the strength and mobility for athletes program.
Through my own karate practice, observing my movement and the movement of others, it is quite evident that a lot of the time athletes lack true strength and mobility and are using pure momentum to execute their movement, making them more vulnerable to injury. This training focuses on specific strength and mobility exercises to enhance one’s training, whilst increasing range of motion using a safe and effective approach to achieve one’s goals.
